Students wishing to request an excused absence must have a documented circumstance that fits one of the categories listed below. If you need more than 5 days away from classes, you will need to work directly with your instructors. With the exception of active military duty and certain pregnant student support, we cannot issue an authorized absence for more than 5 days for any given situation. In certain situations where an unanticipated class conflict arises, our office can provide an excused absence to a student, allowing them to make up missed work for the class without penalty.
